Case 1: A 40-year-old man suffered from cardiac insufficiency due to damage to the heart valves. They were not capable of sealing to prevent a backflow of blood. The Aliens treated the valves. During the treatment it looked as though they were planning the valves or re-shaping them. After a few treatments the patient’s condition was seen to improve and treatment ended. Several months later he returned for follow-up treatment. A surplus of electrical cardiac activity was diagnosed along with a murmur that indicated less that optimal functioning. The Aliens treated that problem as well. Comprehensive medical examinations that were conducted several months later showed a marked improvement in his condition.

Case 2: A more severe case involved a 71 year old man who had had a heart attack 15 years earlier. The attack permanently damaged part of the heart muscle and since that time, the patient’s heart did not regain full normal functioning. In addition to this, the patient suffered from a number of other chronic diseases. After conducting a comprehensive examination, the Aliens’ prognosis was not good. They stated that his condition was critical and it was their opinion that he probably did not have long to live.

Aliens: We can rehabilitate his heart, but under the current ambulatory conditions we’re afraid that our treatment and equipment could precipitate a heart attack. We don’t have the proper life-support equipment here. If we could work with him in a hospital environment with all the necessary emergency equipment for intensive care, we would be able to help him. Under the present circumstances, we suggest that we treat his other problems, not related to his heart condition. By improving the other ailments we will be able to contribute to his quality of life.
